ON COMPOSITE MATERIALS
(September 16-18, 2002 at Stanford University)
CALL FOR PAPERS

The Tenth U.S.-Japan Conference on Composite Materials will be held at Stanford University, Stanford, CA. The conference is co-sponsored by the American Society for Composites and the Japan Society for Composite Materials. Papers are invited in all areas of composite materials while special sessions are planned for (1) Smart and Multifunctional Composites, (2) Nano Composites, (3) Composites for Infrastructures, and (4) Automotive Composites.

ACCEPTATION OF PAPERS AND PRE-REGISTRATION

Prospective authors should submit an abstract no more than 500 words (including references) together with relevant figures. The selection of papers will be made on the basis of their originality and significance. The deadline for the receipt of abstracts is February 11, 2002. Prospective authors from Japan and other countries in Asia should send abstracts by email to Dr. Ishikawa, the Chairman of the Japanese Committee at: j-us-tenth@nal.go.jp. For prospective authors from US and non-Asia countries, abstracts shall be send to Prof. Chang, the Chairman of the US committee, at the official Japan-US conference email address: conference@structure.stanford.edu. For email attachment, please format your abstract in a Word or pdf file.

Abstracts must include the name, affiliation, mailing address, telephone and facsimile numbers, and e-mail address of each author. Authors will be notified of acceptance by March 30, 2002. The deadline for camera ready manuscripts (maximum of 8 pages, format to be provided) is July 1, 2002. Papers will be published in a Proceeding of the Conference.
